If Georgejjl knows that a peer-reviewed paper will be published this week or next, then he had to have been told so by an insider (or he is an insider himself). If that were true, he would be in possession of material, non-disclosed information and potentially in legal jeopardy if he or anyone else trades on it.

BTW, George knows nothing. He has been posting his silly predictions for many years in order to rope in unsuspecting investors in the hope that he can sell higher. It’s straight out of the pumper’s playbook.

The increase in the share price looks to me like some momentum buying. It has nothing to do with fundamentals, which have not changed, nor any expectations for near-term news. AVXL is a “show me” stock. If or when there is meaningful news, then the stock will rise based on the news and not in anticipation of any news.
