Companies such as Optum RX and CVS are hired by companies who offer prescription plans for the sole purpose of reducing costs. So they quote their own formulary experts to dispute the scripts and override the patient's doctors.

His doctor knows how the game is played and their pharmacy expert wrote 2 scripts for 70 and 30 that the plan couldn't deny.
