I disagree.

It doesn't prove anything about naked short sellers if the dividend is below the value of the short sellers margin call price.

I know Canadian naked short sellers exist in many issues.

But they will get burned on certain stocks. And that will spread like a contagion into other stocks.

When the house of shorted cards comes falling down, Canada will do what all civilized countries do and finally ban naked short selling.

Those chickens are coming home to roost, like it or not.
