Your whole post below is pretty much BS since you have zero understanding of ADHD. First ritalin is not a substitute for Adderall and no doctor would prescribe it.

The increase in Adderall scripts is due to HS, college and professional athletes claiming they have ADHD when in fact they don't and use if for better grades and performance. Look at the spike in 14-24 age groups. Back in the 70s college students took speed to cram for a test. There was no Adderall. lol. You do understand what amphetamines are I hope.

The other contributing factor to the shortage of Adderall is twofold. Due to covid doctors started prescribing it for patients who had nothing to do. They should have gotten a rescue pet. And the FDA controls the numbers that can be manufactured for all drugs. Getting them to increase those numbers takes an act of Congress. So the generic runs out first then the consumer has no choice to buy the brand name.

If you son doesn't have ADHD then why is he taking it? Obviously 10 years ago a doctor did subscribe it for him for some reason. Didn't you wonder why or question it?
There is no real test to determine ADHD.

Wrong. There is and it has been in existence for years.

Again you don't know what you are talking about and as a parent you should at least know WTF you are talking about. When taking that test all parties must be BRUTALLY honest or otherwise it's just a lie.

For people who do have ADHD in order to wean themselves off the drug they need to work with a psychologist to understand how executive function works in normal people and how their brain is short circuiting. Which is why Adderall and Vyvanse (which is a much better drug than Adderall) has the reverse effect for people with ADHD which I said previously.

As I said your previous post and the one I am responding to is BS and you can't be serious since you never did your homework which as a parent of a son who does have ADHD I have.

Happy 4th.
