Tesla's sales in the US have been declining in 2024:
In the first quarter of 2024, Tesla sold 140,187 electric vehicles (EVs) in the US, which is a 13.3% decrease from the same period in 2023. This is well below the double-digit growth that Tesla has typically seen.
Tesla's market share in the US EV market also decreased from 61.7% in the first quarter of 2023 to 51.3% in the first quarter of 2024.
In March 2024, Tesla reported a 12% decrease in new car registrations compared to the same month in 2023. In February 2024, Tesla saw a 25% drop in sales compared to the previous year.
