Gary, I’m sorry to hear that you are suffering. Based on your symptoms, it’s crucial to get your electrolytes checked and consider IV fluids to prevent dehydration and complications. Without proper treatment, you risk developing serious conditions like toxic megacolon. Persistent fevers can indicate sepsis or bacteremia due to bacterial translocation in the gut from all the inflammation. Gram-negative sepsis can be even more serious than C. diff colitis and both conditions require specific antibiotics. Please go to an ER as soon as possible.
