FFS, I have tended to agree that Denner is not just here to turn the company around and sell it for a fortune. I think there has been a lot of financial engineering going on. As he explicitly stated in his proxy, that includes shorting AMRN stock.

IMO, I think Sarissa is looking at a number of potential catalysts to turn around the company...full approval in EU, big growth in China, results of pending litigation, potential new formulation, BRAVE, etc.

Obviously, he would like to see the highest possible BO. However, I also believe that he is positioning Sarissa for the worst-case scenario - where NONE (or only few) of these catalysts come to fruition. So he has been slowly lowering his effective cost basis through strategic shorting, tax-loss selling (or moving shares between entities), and buying in at lower prices.

Unfortunately, the facts seem to keep getting stacked against us. Yes, we have the "science" in our corner. But we have also seen that sometimes science does not prevail. Maybe someday it WILL prevail in the hands of a BP. But current investors may never see the fruits of that (in the form of a high BP BO price).

And THIS is what I was afraid of with Denner getting involved - all the people of "science" were booted from the company and the board, and replaced with people of finance.
