I think they open themselves up to a mega investor lawsuit that would put any liquidation payments on hold until investors are compensated for the fraud this company has committed by passing the extension resolution according to law and them silently ignoring the will of shareholders and just decide to take their unearned compensation and just close up shop.
The SEC and Nasdaq should immediately stay any liquidation while the fraud is investigated on shareholder's behalf.
