It's not an end all be all but at the same time it opened pandora's box.. I can't find it just yet but there was a documentary a while back that had showed how some scholarship athletes didn't even have to attend classes or meet grade requirements because they were considered "special needs" students and all they needed was for someone who was their "tutor" to sign off on passing grades for them to keep their eligibility.

It's a market and these kids, regardless of their athletic ability are exploited for profit. It's good that the kids will be able to reap the benefits but at the same time, they should have to meet all the eligibility requirements that the less gifted athletes are required to. No university should accept a kid who can't read but can score touchdowns on Saturday. They have destroyed the whole idea of higher education..
