The Consolidated Audit Trail (CAT) was adopted in 2012 and has undergone numerous refinements since then. On November 15, 2018 Large broker-dealers were required to begin reporting to the CAT. "not May 24th of 2024".( Small broker-dealers were given an extra year) While the CAT itself is not new, the question now is what new components will be implemented with the transition to T+1 settlement.
