Great question. Not sure that was communicated very well. My personal interpretation is that they are a foundry and have manufactured 200 mm wafers with LWLG modulators ( full propriety Lightwave) . To do that they need LWLG material. Now the two companies have agreed to enter into a partnership which means LWLG delivers material and know how ( technical assistance) and AMF puts up the manufacturing. I expect the this to be done by a license agreement and material sales to AMF and AMF charging manufacturing costs back to LWLG, but honestly I don’t know the precise arrangement. Mass production of wafers and integration can be done in Singapore and the customer specific products can be shipped to LWLG customers. Shipment and iinvoicing to 3rd parties can only be done if there is a license agreement in place between LWLG and AMF.
