A great start to the hashtag#methanereductionsummit here at the University of California, Davis! 🐄 🐂

With one billion total investments in climate agriculture practices and programs, tremendous progress has been made, but it will take continued research and collaboration to be successful.

Undersecretary of Farm Production and Conservation, Robert Bonnie from USDA highlighted the role educational institutions play in providing measurable data and science. When it comes to reducing the climate impact of livestock production he said, “We need the help of universities for good science.” 🔬

Through collaborative efforts between academia, industry leaders, farmers, ranchers and policymakers, we can enhance the overall understanding of methane and create effective methane mitigation solutions for a healthier climate and planet. 👏
