I was about 25 before I heard the term “spaghetti sauce” we always had GRAVY on the table.

My best friend in HS was Italian and I'd eat dinner at his house at least once a week. His mom was constantly making gravy to serve on pasta dishes. Her grandparents were from Italy as well has her husbands. More Italian people you could not find in Astoria NY.
