It seems like whenever there is 2,500 shares at the ask, it takes 10's of 1,000's of shares hit, at that price, before it moves and then the move is usually down.

So I wonder if the 2,500 share offer is some kind of message to other MM's (shorts/hedge funds) there is a lot more to sell.

It's a trend I see repeated numerous times.
