The only thing substantial that happens there is the once a year livestock show. Students are not flocking to the cattle raising business anymore. If you study the staff directory one would see that facility has become a center of cultural study, promotion, and DEI inclusion.
The far superior and far superior LSU campus is literally about 10 miles or so downriver.
One has to ask, why not bring the very very deep resources of LSU Ag into this ?
This is not an indictment of the fine and very dedicated staff of SUBR, it’s just the facts of the way it is between the 2 universities, one having 3 of everything, and the other begging to buy lightbulbs.
