In part you are right. If it were really in the sights of the Reddit crowd, AVXL would be moving a lot higher, a lot faster. Yes, a few of the shorts may have liquidity issues because of the big meme stocks, others of them may be covering (or at least lightening) their Biotech short positions in advance lest this turn into what happened in 2021, and some traders may be moving back into AVXL and others (e.g., SAVA and ANVS) in the hope that this trend will continue.
