The inside "scoop" isn't inside info at all (unlike various tidbits of info provided here on this board - by some).
The commissioners let DBMM off the proverbial hook because of an internal snafu at the SEC. They inadvertently let other divisions see internal emails and files that they shouldn't have. And for the record, the SEC stated that the ensuing investigation about this internal snafu proved that no actual harm to any case happened as a result. But in the interests of saving the resources of the SEC, about 50 cases were dismissed - DBMM being one of them.
There was NO ACTION performed by DBMM that brought about the dismissal of the OIP. It was PURELY a screw up of the SEC that caused it.
And I think that just about completely covers the Commissioners part.
