I don’t believe what Trump posted. I think he will end up picking Haley because of how she has been doing in the primaries even though she dropped out.

I'm not sure. I think, among other things, that a lot of those people who voted for Haley might be pissed off if she suddenly shifted her position and agreed to be his running mate. It's hard--at least for me--to guess how many would feel that way. Another question: something people don't discuss in polls or on cable news: how many Trump voters will be counting on him dying before his term is up, if elected? How soon do they think he'll be pushing up daisies? How much damage could he do in the time he had? And would a VP Haley, once she took over, be well-received if she tried to undo that damage?

Another question we should be thinking about: does Trumpty really want to win? On a personal level, yes, because he's very angry at the people, including Biden, who want to send him to prison. But if he's capable of thinking rationally, he knows he probably won't spend any time in the slammer. Too complicated and too dangerous. If he died of ANYTHING while in custody, his fans would say he'd been murdered.

He could handle house arrest. He spends most of his time at one of his clubs, by himself except for meals or when golfing. It wouldn't make a big difference. So if he DOES lose, he can spend another four years egging his fans on to dispute the results of the election. No effort on his part. All he'd need to do would be to run his giant mouth.

If that's the result he wants, maybe he should choose poor Tim Scott.
