She was a VC and she created the forbear company to allow for this product to be made by a CDMO because there was not one in the space. It saved them from having to build a factory at that time which is what destroyed the only other dendritic cell manufacturer previously.

The current company leases space from NWBO and manages NWBO’s own factory. They provide expertise and manpower, but NWBO also bought Flaskworks and expects to buildout the rest of the factory with Flaskworks machines. Now if they outsource the labor, in their own factory, that is a level of flexibility that is admirable.

Further, they received regional financing authority finance to build Sawston to its current level. It was conditional on providing CDMO services to researchers and small companies that also otherwise would not have the resources to build and staff a manufacturing facility, which is often what literally kills these companies. The deal allows Advent to provide those services on behalf of NWBO at NWBO’s built factory, which is a kind of risk shifting and symbiosis again that makes lesser resources go further and do more.

It sounds good to make these ridiculous claims by shorts. You just have to fail to lay out all the facts and make it sound like something it definitely isn’t.

I own NWBO. My posts on iHub are always posted expressly as just my humble opinion (IMHO) and none are advice, just my opinion. I am NOT a financial advisor, and it is assumed that everyone is responsible for their own due diligence.
