I could see that if the share price went down to the pennies or the company went bankrupted. However, if a company succeeds and the share price rises in the 10's of dollars, at some point, the CPA firms employed to audit will eventually call out the increasing liability of "Shares sold and not yet purchased".

Their Going-Concern could be in jeopardy and would need to be called out.


One would think anyway!!
