Perhaps if you studied what they have done, you would "understand".
Look around AI, look at the demand on the data centers. That data is crunched on silicon using electrons. As it rolls off as electrons when implemented Lightwaves polymer can triple the speed at which it is converted to photons and send on to the next destination, either in the data center, or across town to the next city. It does it with 1/10th the power and is 30 times smaller leaving room in cluttered real-estate. It is compatible with Silicon and can be mass produced in existing foundries. It is going to change a lot of things, even the frequency of trading on the stock market. It is a big deal. Oh and long term capital gains is where it is at.
Two completely different philosophies. The success of the daytraders that I knew was not good. Infact currently I do not know of a single one. But I do know many, many, many that I will see next month that have done well with the research, buy and hold philosophy. The move from 1 dollar to 4 to 20 happened so fast that literally if one sold 10,000 shares 1 day at a dollar ( $10k) they could only purchase 2,500 the next week or so at $4. So at 20 bucks that original 10,000 shares was worth $200k where the day trade only had 2,500 shares or $50,000.
I average average average and hold hold hold. Sure if I have a need for something I'll take a little off the table, again average average average. There a few disgruntled types that sold early here, there are also there that think they should have made a different decision and kick themselves for it.
The grass always looks greener on the others ideas of the fence. I'd invite you to attend the shareholders' meeting to see why there are so many fat cows on this side of the fence.
Many of us play occasionally with small amounts of money at times, but that not our "goal" it is for amusement only.
So if you are so good at predictions I'll bet you kill it with options, perhaps you could sit down with Lew and bedazzle him with your brilliance.
