On june 24th 2022 America’s Supreme Court ruled, in Dobbs v Jackson Women’s Health Organisation, to let states set their own laws on abortion. Since then 14 have banned abortion completely, with exceptions for extreme circumstances. The consequences of overturning Roe v Wade are becoming clearer. A stark one is the sharp rise in permanent contraceptive procedures among both men, through vasectomies, and women, through tubal ligations.

This is what's at stake tomorrow at the Supreme Court. Idaho would prefer pregnant people be airlifted to another hospital out of state, instead of providing them basic, lifesaving medical care. This is not the world we want. This is not what we should have to endure simply because that care involves abortion.

But this reality is a direct result of the Supreme Court letting Idaho's law go into effect. There have been six air evacuations since then--that's compared to one in the whole year prior.

Anti-abortion extremists have made it clear: They’re hellbent on banning abortion, and they don’t care if it kills us.
