Closed out my position at a profit.
Totally unrelated, I owned MTTR and had a loss. It popped this week on news of a takeover.
The acquiring company's stock is $99 a share, and the deal is for $2.75 cash and $2.75 in stock. That would give me only a fractional share of the acquirer's stock.
So, I sold at a loss. Takeovers can often not be your friend. The acquirer's stock is almost at the 52-week high, which makes it even worse.
Adios MTTR.
VTLE is back in suspended animation.
No joy in the market right now.
