MORE INFO:

The Center's Information Manager came by to say hi. I got to ask him more questions about some general ENZC items.

To A&M, both Bioclinetics and ENZC were always the same customer, on paperwork and legally to them. There was no real autonomy or separation between those labs's staff or resources being used by both. As far as A&M is concerned, Bioclinetics IS ENZC, they just used two different lab names with slightly different equipment.

This info manager was part of the vetting team when ENZC first leased the labs. He was impressed his tech staff thought ENZC really had something, and occasional interns did help staff the labs on certain days by ENZC requests. He said they kept fairly busy as far as he knew, and after year 1, the lease went month-to-month, because as he put it, "ENZC seemed unsure if this facility was a long-term solution or if a larger company building would be needed later."

ENZC was reported to be doing Human and Animal research in regard to their projects. All else he said was private company information he knew nothing about.
It was my impression, based upon both of their expressions, that they were a little surprised when ENZC left, and it was sudden. Their listing to lease the old ENZC lab had just gone up to new prospective lessees about 48 hours before I arrived.

I told them I knew the name because relatives of mine had bought some of their stock. I had heard second-hand that they had a bit of a business dust-up and I was unsure of what they were doing now. (Exaggerated a little to get more info.)

Since I was also there on my daughter's behalf, I was not totally lying. wink

They seemed genuinely obvious to ENZC business issues, told me they knew nothing about that, only that they needed to vacate right away, and that their research work was basically completed anyway. This last part may have, or may not have, been bs on ENZC's part, you have to draw your own conclusions.

The two I spoke with were also unaware of the names I used for the researchers working inside the labs. I can tell you, ENZC had to pay some real $$$ to run and maintain those 2 labs, that place is state of the art, and well managed. I've seen a lot of labs like this, this one was tops. Scams, even partial scams, don't pay this kind of dough in PINK land. So, I'm firmly in the corner of mass incompetence and/or some corrupt activity here, but not that they don't have the goods.

And I got a speeding ticket in a speed trap coming back down Raymond Stotzer Parkway as I left there. a 4-lane highway of sorts where the speed ranges from 35 - 60 MPH every 60 yards or so. What a racket they've got there in College Station! I went back and checked to be sure. So, never say I didn't take one for the team here.

I was later told, by some colleagues at my trade show last night in Bryan, that the 3 main parkways running East-West across their main campus area are notorious for rip-off speed traps. I was just so happy..... BTW, "F" KoP.

Any questions? I'll try to answer.
