Yes agree, which includes showing manipulation took place say in the GameStop situation versus the true value based on disclosed omissions or misstatements in a fraud case.

So, in essence the argument is the market price is the true price. Which is of little help in the face of market manipulation either up or down.


But we do have an accepted definition of true value, however flawed it may be, which is the well informed rational market!

Unless otherwise somehow provable that manipulation took place, it will be hard because apparently retail actors in the market moved price through their (emotional or even somehow coordinated) buying and selling behavior in a situation where there were no company disclosures. Is that even illegal or just the market establishing a different true value for short period than it was before or after?

Sort of equivalent to the ongoing discussion here with very different opinions about what the true value of $AVXL should be, some calling it manipulation when they own an $AVXL position bought at a much higher price.

The longer we wait, the sooner we will get rich!
