The cops found 100 kilos of cannabis in the house of the mayor of Lyon (3rd or 4th largest city in France)

Now there is an investigation open to figure out if the Mayor knew the drugs were there.

I suppose that leaves 2 questions

1. Why'd they look in the first place?

2. How can anyone not know that they have 100 kilos of cannabis stashed in the garage?

I spent the afternoon searching every corner of my house in the off chance I have a secret stash that I forgot about....
