Anavex is among the most tainted names in the world of biopharma investing, right up there with Northwest Bio. It’s the biotech equivalent of the Edsel, the Corvair, Three Mile Island and the 737 Max 8.

Explain to me why it is that with all the supposed near-term regulatory approvals not a single institutional investor owns AVXL (real investors, not index funds). Mention Anavex to any serious biotech investor and you’ll get eye rolls. People claim the cabal is suppressing AVXL so the “big boys” can scoop up cheap shares, yet no biotech institutional investors other than index funds own AVXL.

You can swim in whatever conspiracy theories you like but these are facts.

Get rid of this guy, get rid of his school chums on the board, change the company’s name, and maybe the science will have a chance to shine (or not).
