a blast from the past WAMU TV commercials promoting Home Loans or HELOCs everything from dental work, recreation bowling, and paying parking tickets.... these were unsecured loans made against rising equity values in property values which were rising, and the loans were used to buy toasters , tv, vacations, and general personal uses....Long Beach Mortgage sold billions in loans which were collateralized into MBS and sold to investors all over the world....my point.... the government was not the cause of WAMU's collapse, but the greed of Killinger and the BOD who ran Wamu in the dirt....
