I was Born again in High School...I was sitting in Bible Literature class listening to teacher tell us about the Bible when the teacher looked up and asked God for strength to get the Bible story right that he was telling us from his memory, I thought to myself, I hope it's right cuz I don't want to hear anything that isn't Bible truth so I asked God for Him to get the story correct right on the spot, I then asked God for a sign that he is there and listening to me, I asked several times for a sign and prayed hard for a sign from God, I did this for like almost 10 minutes praying hard....but nothing...so I gave up asking God for a sign of his existence and at that very moment the intercom came on in the classroom, it was the principal and he asked the Teacher to send me by name to the office! I went into SHOCK! I stopped by the drinking fountain on my way to the office as my mouth had gone DRY! Still in shock and amazement! When I arrived the principal said there was a phone call for me.
It was my best friends mom, crying on the phone wondering where her son Tom was. Tom was scheduled for an operation that day and I told her we all had been out late the night before partying but I had to be home at 10pm and didn't know where Tom and Dave my best friends went after I went home. She was in fear of Tom dying as she had just lost 2 other relatives recently. Tom eventually got home, to the hospital, and the operation was a success. I'll never forget this, I asked for a sign from God and got one! Praise the Lord!
