Insightful comment, there is a lot we just can't be sure of. But, there are clues...

My thoughts on why Coretec is able to acquire Core Optics.

Dr. Kim has years of experience in the battery industry. "He led FIST Global, a top financial engineering firm, and oversaw their LFP battery production. He is now spearheading the establishment of a gigafactory in the U.S. focused on innovative energy solutions."

He understands Coretec IP technology, especially Endurion battery technology, which could be worth much more than Core Optics. Dr. Kim and Matthew Hoffman mentioned some other new innovations, specifically new IP, that we don't know about yet.
"This work has also led to new innovations, specifically new IP in the form of an advanced coding methodology that will be utilized for Endurion and has the ability to be used in other battery materials and non-battery applications."

I think Endurion battery technology is a lot better than expected.
