When I see Polariton recently saying they now have 8000 hours on LWLG's version 3 material, that is great news, but it also puts thing in perspective for me regarding reliability data on subsequent version materials.

What excites me
We are working with foundries. This approach is not capital intensive.
We ramped up and have a full house.
We are seeing 8 x 10 color glossies of modulators coming back from the foundries all the time for well over a year.
We are poling at wafer level.
We already ramped to have the right people involved.
The process of working with the foundries has matured.
It is all about reliability data now.
We have been active on the Intellectual Property Front, which will gain visibility this year in 2024.

Fifty employees is a lean level once a foundry deal is signed in the big picture.
We all take some risks on the timing of that big deal in relation to the ramp - no pain no gain, so I guess we will see how good a chess player the good doctor is.

for me, I would rather have this additional talent working to make it happen, than to be trying to overtake incumbent technologies with a skeleton crew.

You cannot please everyone, but I will take the path Dr. Lebby chose in ramping verses the alternative any day because it increases our chances for success.
