Dante: Inferno to Paradise, by acclaimed filmmaker Ric Burns, explores the riveting life and times of Dante Alighieri (1265-1321) and his soaring masterpiece "The Divine Comedy" – one of the greatest achievements in the history of Western literature.

I watched the first part last night and it was extremely well done. I referenced it earlier in a post here saying Trump would never go any further than the Inferno.

Dante was highly religious and faced his demons while Virgil guided him on his path to heaven and the love of his life.
