From a values standpoint and a longterm perspective, it really makes no difference. We might like abundant food, clean water, indoor heat and AC, butt those are nott necessarily objectively good things; they just make our lives different. And in the long perspective, they make no impact on the ultimate OUTTcome at all.

They are transient artifacts, like voitoriums or iron lung machines or fax machines or pyramids or Angor Wat or Machupichu..

All of these things, in and of thehmelves, are neither badd nor good and ultimately they are irrelevant.
