I used to try to game it by putting a buy order 10c below current bid on GSY at the time. I did hit once but normally nothing fills. all depends with what else is happening on the L2, if some one needs cash bad enough....they will take whatever they can get. Ive seen trades far below current bid. In your case, there is active trading at your price and you stand a good chance at the open of filling the rest, if not before. But if the bid/ask jumps up on Thur effect....then no.
