Duma uncovered the Thur jump on BIL and SGOV. How or why it happens I dont know, just know that it does.
Normally the price rises about 1c per day, but Thur it can rise as much as 4-5c. That means buy on or before Wed close.
Sell on Thur. That said, dont wait to buy or sell before you need to.
As far as buying before or after exdiv, then price will go down the amount of div so really doesnt matter. But might make a difference in a taxable acct, cap gain vs a div. That is CPA territory.

I am going to buy FLOT but I will wait to sell BIL Thur. There is no Thursday bump in FLOT near as I can tell.
