Jimmy, I think your saying, discovery of the holy grail of the medical arts, is very thoughtful.

The body is an entire ecosystem, a free market of cells, virus, bacteria, mutations, and a regulatory system that all interact with each other. LP refers to the dendritic cell as the general in the army. It mobilizes the holistic armed forces that is the immune system to fight a cancer that is like a guerrilla force that mutates, evades, camouflages, and defends itself. It is complex, like a war of attrition.

And to that point, there is an art to waging war against live mutations that has already succeeded (a tumor) to a large extent. And we all know that the current system of drugs that target a single biomarker and bypass the regulatory checks-and-balances of the immune system is very narrow in scope (win the battle), risks high toxicity (high "civilian" casualty), and metastasis and recurrence (not win the war). But it is the best that today's big pharma and their drugs can do, until now. Because DCVax is about to get approved, and that changes everything.
