They really were. Once William Bonney came into the picture, I didn't think it could get any weirder.....but then Treffry decided to start pushing his Irani Dinar story.....and The Queen, Pope, and Obama were all tied in. Not sure how the Dalai Lama escaped.
The fact that people became more and more convinced just shows what one good pumper can pull off. Where is Ed Thompson today?
I would have bet a lot of money there couldn't possibly be STILL some believers out there 20+ years later.
Of course, there are still believers on the GME board that there will be a resurrection and they've even made a movie explaining how that's over.
Trying to recall what I read somewhere earlier today......something about it's easier to convince someone that something is true, than convince them it isn't.
I know a woman who's job is to assist in voir dire of a jury and knowing how to recognize the good and bad jurors. Man, I'd love to get her on IHUB to analyze some of these boards.
It truly defies any logic.
