All of the so called AI out there will soon be completely obsolete. Granted, you'll still have some uses for it, but not much. What was Rene's remarks of shorting NVIDIA.... Nine months out? Sound about right. Even bigger, IMO, were his comments at the end about taking everyone out one by one this year.
Everything about the monolithic, black box approach to AI was simply a poor design built from the top down, and yet all of these developers took it and ran with it like it was the next big thing. Countless billions have been poured into it, and yet instead of seeing an actual viable product come from it, we're continuing to see all of the major flaws with this approach, and by flaws I mean flaws that lead to major lawsuits. Gemeni's flaws around bias are my latest favorite, as they paint the founding fathers of America as being Asian, vikings as Native Americans, and Nazis as black. The pure wokeness BS has come full circle, and these developers will pay the price as they've pushed their agendas too far.
Verses not only has the answer with its active inference approach to AI and distributed intelligence, but it also doesn't require begging the worldwide investment community for seven TRILLION in funding new chip foundries and power plants, as this distributed intelligence isn't power hungry, and AI agents can literally be trained on a single standard laptop, where eventually every human soul with basic computing skills will be able to train their very own agents, while businesses and government bodies will have agents trained for their enterprise and data related purposes.
All of the companies focused on generative AI and LLMs are about to have their early morning, cock-a-doodle-do wakeup call, as Verses is about to call them to the table for these "games", to prove that they not only have a much more viable path for intelligent agents, but also one that's explainable, and isn't pre-trained on everyone else's data, and can actually learn on the go, sharing intelligence with other agents within the agency. As investors we saw it first hand, and were blown away by what we were witnessing. If I were a so called "competitor", I'd be frantically trying to call them up to close a deal and partnership, or else I'd have to play dirty games to keep the whole LLM train of stupidity going. Given Rene's enthusiasm during the webcast, it shouldn't surprise anyone if they've already got it lined up and are working out the details.
For the entire industry, they're now on the clock.
