Yes the grid will need to be hardened, updated and expanded but with the reduced resistance silicone batteries will have less strain on the grid. Hasty math says four vehicle battery packs can be charged with the same amount of "load" on the grid as a single car with legacy batteries. That is part of the appeal of the Endurion battery chemistry.
