By the time the CEOs, board members and IT people or cybersecurity people agree on anything about their cybersecurity posture, the market is going to get hacked BIG TIME!! The government should issue mandatory standards like the TCG and NIST already have in place!! Trusted computing with the help of Wave/ESW could quickly lead organizations to have a much better security posture!! More meetings and manuals with these people isn’t going to get anything done in a timely manner!! Biden should issue an executive order to make these standards and activated TPMs and SEDs the law with a nod from Congress rather than all the bickering that happens when the congress gets back from vacation and gets NOTHING done!!! How many lives were lost because we didn’t have seatbelts and airbags mandatory? Do we need a continued repeat of not having laws to protect us from cyberattacks? As Nike would say-JUST DO IT!!!
