I wonder if LP has made a change to her plans after seeing the greatly improved results of the combo trial. This could mean that DCVAX-L would almost never be used as a standalone drug. If her goal is to help cure as many patients as possible, selling out to one company who might horde the drug to be used with their own drugs might prohibit another company from finding a better combination with theirs. In effect it might prevent finding a cure. She has the patents now and maybe just leasing them out to other companies for combo's with the ability to use their product or even produce it themselves with machines would be more effective in reaching her goal. Maybe why she all of a sudden mentions franchise.
