This is just flat-out wrong. 4x200G refers to a transceiver implementation having 4 optical channels of 200Gb/s per channel (ca. 100GBaud PAM4); 8x100G refers to 8 channels of 100Gb/s (ca. 50GBd PAM4) each. Both implementations are intended for 800G transceivers in a QSFP-DD or OSFP form factor plugged into a single port on a switch or router. In both implementations the electrical interface (for the time being) is likely to be 8x100G, until switch ASICs with 200G serdes start shipping.
