Things MAY be improving but noticing that they are saying they are PLANNING to implement - a change from saying that ARE implementing - is not an example of parsing words. That sentence alone keeps everyone in the dark about where things stand with Foundries..but it appears there is STILL something keeping them from going forward.

I will agree that the messaging from GFS at the turn of the year as well as the message in the 3rd quarter commentary requires interpretation - there you may be right in saying I parse words. But both messages were consistent internally and with each other: The industry has some interest in new and novel approaches. But geez, wouldn't it be nice if Dr Lebby gave us a little more than "some interest"?. The comment that they "expressed an interest in learning more" is not exactly a rousing validation that they are on the cusp of shocking anybody with a product launch.

Add to that my external validation from an industry insider who said that in the optical world Lightwave's name just doesn't come up in discussions...IMAGINE - their name doesn't even come up in discussions in the optical world! That's literally what was said to me. That further suggests that the prior narrative pumped repeatedly by Proto which he STILL pumps that the Amazons, Nvidias, Google, Metas, etc out there are PUSHING for Lightwave's tech are misguided and wrong.

No ACTUAL evidence is presented so this is also B.S. :

SO, no need to conjure up false narratives about paid bashers when the ACTUAL evidence just doesn't support the narrative of big players ready to pounce or of a big revelation any time soon.. Lightwave's own narrative is much less ambitious for 2024. Let's start with that one...and see if they can pull it off or not.

I hope T.P. has stocked up on CHARMIN - he's going to need it.
