Update on Diamondoid patent news. Patent was allowed on 1 Jan 24, and fees paid 29 Jan 24, so all is good there for an award in very near future.
In addition, 2 new patents based on the original diamondoid were published today 8 Feb 24.
These new patents may be related to an earlier post that described when the USPTO indicated the 1st patent should be restricted, broken up and then re applied for. Seems like LWLG is not leaving anything behind and did just that. I am not smart enough to for certain, but below is my post from March 23. Will continue to monitor, but patents take time.

Progress Update for Diamondoid Patent Application 2 March 23.
This one has been moving slowly but here is the latest forward progress. ( note I am not a patent expert, and the chemistry here is deep). The purpose of the patent is to improve temporal stability while also providing for a high chromophore count while maintaining optimal spacing within the polymer host. Another way to think of it is to ensure high quality and longevity.
1. On 12 Jan 23, USPTO informed LWLG that they had to make a choice on how to proceed. The LWLG had to specify ("requirement for restriction/election") which concept(s) to move forward with. USPTO indicated the application had to be restricted to 1 of 3 sets of claims because each claim has acquired a separate status in their art, and requires a different field of search but was submitted 1 application. Basically, all 3 sets of claims could not be addressed under 1 application.
2. 3 March 23, LWLG made the requested singular group selection for continued evaluation and requested an indication of allowance. In addition, they reserved the right to pursue the claims of the other 2 groups of claims via a continuation of a divisional patent at some point in the future.
Soooo all good news, progress, albeit slow.
