Saw an interesting industry discussion of revenue recognition and timing of disclosure this morning. The secrecy involved in developing new products isn't only between Lightwave and their foundry customers, but foundries are also running under a cloak of secrecy.

If the XElite PCs are launching mid 2024, when would the earnings reflect the initial sales of these chipsets? I am always at a loss for when these companies usually buy the inventory for their PC launches.

One would think production of the SD X Elite has already begun as the PCs themselves should be entering production soon (March/ April) for a sales launch in June/ July.

However, QCOM may not receive that revenue until 30 to 60 days after product shipment, thus 3QF24 (Apr- June)

NOTE: Short interest was bumped up from 12/15/22 to 12/30/22 to take the stock below $5.
In the summer of 2022 short interest was at 20 million for three reporting periods, then they were able to cover about two million. Short interest went back to the 19-20 million range for the EOY dump and has remained above those levels.

The largest increase in institutional interest took place in spring of 2022 - highlighted below in red. Second period of manipulation was with fewer shares, but they have not been able to cover this time.
