MA, I think what you are missing with FFS's posts, and TA in general, is that it does not predict the success or failure of a company, only term-specific trading patterns.

If the only thing an investor is concerned with is going long, and holding forever until a buyout (or they've made their nut, or whatever), then yeah, most of the TA is meaningless for them.

But I am a total TA novice, so I enjoy reading FFS's posts. It doesn't mean I swing trade for profit, but his posts HAVE helped me decide on entry points when I've added shares in the past.

I guess I don't get the hate. It's not like he's a closet short trader, trying to dupe everyone (he actually fully admits he swing trades). He's sharing something of value. There's never anything wrong with learning something and keeping your eyes open to new ideas.
