As a 72 year old retired CTO from the software world, I've often experienced the human nature component of a new job that has to do with team chemistry.
It's the old "if you want to be a winner, play with winners." Any dysfunctional team can ruin the future of a great product. Have you joined a company of winners? It's not so easy to determine until you actually participate in the day-to-day activities of the team.
Dr. Jin and any other new hire at Anavex or any other company figures that out sooner or later. And it's usually sooner. So, the fact he's still hanging with Anavex is a good indication of future success. Thanks to the posts of many to this board, I've believed from the beginning that he was an exciting hire. The thought that he just happened to land at Anavex is an insult to Dr. Jun, IMO. If he didn't have many choices, then he wasn't the guy we'd hoped for.
I don't think too little of him because I'm not qualified to judge a biotech world employee. I'm holding out that he's the real deal and his continued presence is a sign that my investment has been a good one.
