He argues that they are passive index funds but how come that there no other companies in these indexes of the cap size of light wave that have these, above average position

It's not hard to find others with even higher ownership by those two. Several are listed below. They have revenue, but there just aren't many pre-revenue companies with such a high valuation to compare to and I think such a comparison is irrelevant since they are passive funds anyway..

The fact that they are PASSIVE INDEX funds must not be minimized: It simply means Blackrock and Vanguard index funds that own Lightwave do not do so because they have researched the company and liked what they saw. They own simply to match the indexes.

BUT: There are PLENTY of other stocks in a similar market cap range with similar and even higher pct ownership by Blackrock and Vanguard.

Here are a few, again using latest numbers reported by Nasdaq:

LWLG 6.94% Vanguard, 6.78% Blackrock

PDFS 12.25% Blackrock, 7.71% Vanguard
SLP 12.46% Blackrock, 5.59% Vanguard
MITK 7.69% Blackrock, 7.14% Vanguard
OLO 10.87% Vanguard, 6.85% Blackrock

BTW this time I used the Zachs free screener -- seems pretty good.
