This was not misinterpreted. I agree with everything you said about hybrids. The point is, that's the only thing that they would need KBLB for. KBLB probably sourced at least some of their purebred lines from somewhere in Vietnam and maybe the rest from some other countries. I don't know why Vietnamese sericulturalists can't do or haven't done the same thing. Perhaps because it's a rather complicated process like you said of keeping the separate pure lines and coordinating the crossbreeding and there's not a lot of profit to be had. How big do you think the mundane silkworm egg market is in Vietnam in $? Do you really think they want to go from relying on the Chinese and Indians for eggs to relying on an American supplier?
