DCVax is for real... We are almost there until MAA approval this year...

As January draws to a close and Spring beckons in the not too distant future it feels like time for an update.

My good health continues and my most recent MRI scan (Jan) has come back clean and stable. MRI Scans and follow up appointments are a constant reminder of my condition and each time I wait for results my heart is literally in my mouth. No need for concern at present.

I do think I can conclude that the vaccine is working. It is doing what it promised to do. This is what I believe and will keep believing.

No 6 is next. I have been given an appointment in London for the end of Feb. This is another momentous occasion. Originally when I embarked on this journey, I wasn’t sure if producing even 3 vaccines was possible. I am now getting my 6th.

I feel extremely privileged and blessed to be in this position and I would not be here without the ongoing support from everyone that has donated and helped to fund-raise. Thank you all so much.

The road ahead is promising. I have an opportunity to continue getting this life extending vaccine potentially for the next 12 years. This is a dream that I couldn’t have predicted almost 2 years ago, and it offers hope not just for me, my husband, my son and my family but also for other individuals who may be going through a similar experience.

When I was diagnosed originally, I remember scouring the internet for ‘survivor stories’ desperate for any glimmer of hope. Hope is what keeps me going. Hope and purpose.

If one other person can read about my experience and get some solace or at least some helpful information it would mean making a small difference in this world.

Sadly, medical treatment comes at a cost. Particularly one such as mine. So, whilst I am enjoying my current stable status, at the back of my mind that little niggle still exists, and I will do whatever it takes to continue receiving this vaccine.

Some fundraising efforts are formulating, and I will update as soon as possible. All I ask is that the story keeps going.

Belated New Years wishes to all
